Matt Parkins in Australia
Matt Parkins, together with his wife Jo, are from the UK. He has been blogging since early 2002 and using the internet since before the web was created and ascii art was still cool. He decided recently to collect some of the articles and ponderings he had written over the past years into a single Christian theology & spirituality blog and continue adding to it.
After school and college Matt left home to work at Gremlin Interactive/Infogrames as a games tester. He then moved on to games programming as he had hoped from the beginning. Matt worked in the Research & Development team at various times and was a programmer on Micro Machines (PS2, GameCube, XBox) and UEFA Challenge (PS1, PS2, PC). The Sheffield studio was closed in 2003.
Matt then spent time on staff at St Thomas’ Anglican & Baptist church in Sheffield, UK, as a PA & Ministerial Assistant to Mike Breen and afterwards set up his own business doing PHP contracting & web development. In 2005 both he & Jo sensed a call to leave Sheffield and serve missionary friends around the globe as led by God whilst still doing the odd bit of contract programming. In 2008, after 2.5 years in Australia as Young Adult Ministers, they returned to the UK to pursue ordained ministry through the Elim Pentecostal Church.
Matt spent some time as a Pastor at York Elim Pentecostal Church, but has now founded a new technical startup (a software company to the rest of us). Matt & Jo have two daughters, Scarlett & Sienna. Matt has a few other websites – please support them by visiting or linking to them:

Dear friends & saints of God,
Greetings to you all there in the Name of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ.
I praise and thank God for this wonderful opportunity to introduce myself and ministry with you all. My name is Suvarna Kumar. I was saved at the age of 15 years old. I obeyed the call of God and went to the Bible College for training… after finishing training at the Bible College . I was led by the Lord to evangelise and plant churches in the most interior, rural and urban slums. God has given me a vision for the lost souls in India and your nation.
Now I am pastor of a local church here. I was married to a Christian lady who is God-fearing woman. She is a prayer warrior & intercessor. We are blessed with a baby boy. We serve the Lord our God faithfully and passionately (“…but as for me and my house we will serve the LORD.”) We dedicate and devote our new born son to the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. We rejoice in the Lord our God for His love, mercy and faithfulness. We give thanks, praise and glory to our God. We live by faith in Christ Jesus. We do not get salary and income from any other sources. The good Lord amazingly provides for us and our ministry. By the grace of God we have evangelized and planted some churches in rural villages and slums. Some churches are thatched hut churches here. We need a lot of prayer and practical support. We need you and your fellowship & partnership in the Gospel work. We would like to connect our ministry with you ministry.

Ministry – God is moving in India today… millions of souls in India still have never heard the message of hope and forgiveness that only Jesus Christ can bring them. We are committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and bring hope to the unreached and disadvantaged people in India . We are preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in urban and rural, villages and slums. Hundreds and thousands are coming to salvation in Jesus Christ each year. The fields are truly ripe for harvest, just as Jesus said…you can be a part of it! We are absolutely committed to preaching the gospel, through evangelism, church planting, leadership training and reaching out to love our neighbour through practical, spiritual and social relief efforts. The truths of God’s Word prevailed. Many people, children in India have never heard the truth about how much God loves them and the price that Jesus paid for them. One of the ways we will be changing that is by holding open-air meetings at the local school or college grounds where we will preach the uncompromised Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your partnership in prayer and financial support are crucial to our ministry. We invite you to consider partnering with us to see India won for Jesus Christ.
Evangelism – We preach the gospel of Jesus Christ through personal and mass evangelism by distributing salvation tracts, Bibles and books etc. We share the love of Christ to the poor people, orphans, widows and elderly people in our region. We win the lost souls for the Kingdom of God . Remember there is Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun. In other words “plunder Hell and populate Heaven.” 1Corinthians 9:v16. Mark 16:v15. Matthew 28:v19-20. I am asking you to give your best gift by this soul winning project. Also our upcoming missions we need you and your prayer & practical support and your love-gifts at this time.
Church History – We are located in APHB Colony, Lalacheruvu, India . We are an independent evangelical Church. We believe in Salvation, Baptism in water & in the Holy Spirit, Gifts & ministries of the Holy Spirit. There is salvation in Jesus Name. We are proclaiming the truth and power of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ with excellence challenging Christians to live victoriously, grow spiritually and know God intimately – Our desire is to build a strong local church whose foundation is based on the Word of God. Missions: Our ministry is passionate about reaching the unreached people, places for the glory of God in India and making real difference in the quality of their lives. We are actively working to minister to the people (spirit, soul and body). The gospel is not western idea. The good news of Jesus Christ is not just for wealthy nations. God loves and desires a personal relationship with all people from every creed, tribe and tongue. Everyone needs to hear of the Saviour of the world.
Outreach Meetings:
Thursday – Distributing salvation tracts, bibles and food distribution to the poor people, children in our area. Sharing the love of Christ to them by practical support, counsel and prayer for them. Proverbs 19:17. James 1:27.
We held a massive ministry outreach to the hurting people of India. We will be providing life sustaining resources to drought stricken regions, supplying healthy meals to abandoned children, reaching out to widows with care packages designed specifically for their needs, and distributing clothes, food and Bibles in desperate need of rural villages of India. Many people and children have to travel to the small towns to get food, education and medication etc. for days on foot and by bicycle. But regardless of the hard conditions, people, children hunger for God and desire to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Projects to support:
It’s reported that every 15 seconds another child in India becomes an orphan. Poverty remains widespread in India and recent statistics indicate that over 80 percent of the population lives on less than £ 1 per day. More than 50 percent of the population lives in chronic food-deficit regions where irregular rainfall causes recurring food shortage.
1. Helping the poor people, orphans, widows and elderly people in the villages. Free distribution of the Holy Bibles, clothes and food. Helping the local pastors, evangelists and teachers.
2. Crusades, medical camp, and building churches in the most interior regions.
3. Support local pastors, evangelists and Christian workers and equip them with necessary tools, helping them establish churches.
We are expecting thousands of lives to be transformed by the life changing power of God. You can be a part of the solution. You can leverage your resources for the Kingdom of God purposes and make a difference in someone’s life that you may never even meet. Now is the perfect time for you to financially support the mission outreaches of our ministry. Your contribution will help feed, orphans, teach pastors, evangelists preach the Gospel, and bring spiritual and physical hope to people, children in need. I humbly ask your prayer like the Apostle Paul who was always asking for prayer. I and our team need your prayers that we may be continually effective in soul winning. We believe that one of the most effective ways of reaching multitudes with the good news of the gospel is to train as many as possible to “go into all the world and preach the gospel.” Please pray for power and provision as we continue to preach Christ Crucified here in India! Only the Lord can open hearts. Please pray that we have a mighty, powerful to preach the wonderful gospel and that the Lord will turn hearts towards Himself.
