Does God ever withhold healing?
I was thinking about partial healings and I think God showed me that He doesn’t give partial healings: He only sends the complete healing - its just that we often only receive partial healing. The logic uses the same line as the new standard healing theology in that our God, the perfect Father, has the power to fully heal someone, and which Father would not heal their child if they had the power? Logically, for God to only send a partial healing would mean he was holding back, which is no different to holding back the healing full-stop and that would make him an imperfect Father when he has the power to send the full healing, etc. (It’s the holding back any healing at all that would make him an imperfect Father - or if he does hold back healing it’s that bit that would unravel the whole of the new healing theology).
Anyway, the reason I’m writing this is because I realised that this truth brings great faith with it: If you receive partial healing then you know that proves the full healing was fully available & sent from God, its just that a free agent messed it up (either our lack of faith or [Daniel 9-10]-like enemy intervention). So we no longer need to press in for God to send the rest of the healing, as if to pursaude God to release something he was holding back, but just to press in with for more faith & also driving the enemy back so that we can receive the fullness of the gift that God had always fully sent. The issue was always with us or the Devil. But then, isn’t it always?
I guess that doesn’t just go for healing either, but is the pattern of everything sent from God? I wonder if that describes going “from glory to glory”?
