You do not love someone because they are beautiful
You do not love someone because they are beautiful, you love someone because you are beautiful. Love is an endorsement of the giver not the recipient.
I was musing earlier in response to some iffy lyrics in a random song I had heard: “I love you cos you’re beautiful”, etc), when actually in the same way that God doesn’t love us because we have an attribute about us that causes His love, but because of who He is.
Love is an endorsement of the lover not the recipient, (whether requited or otherwise!), and it makes me realise just how special my wife is!
